Maureen Binnie (Glasgow 1958-) Contemporary Scottish artist "The Park at Night', oil and pastel on canvas, signed and dated 1982 on a label affixed to the backboard, framed and glazed, 87cm x 114cm (96cm x 126cm framed)

Binnie's landscapes are in bright colours, influenced by John Reid Murray and George Henry. She is a graduate of Glasgow University and Glasgow School of Art 1975-1980. In 1980-1983, aided by a Greenshields scholarship, Binnie studied in Paris at Atelier 17 with Stanley Hayter and attended classes at La Grande Chaumiere.
