M Nissen Midcentury Spade rocking chair
Wooden rocking chair/armchair designed by M Nissen and sold by the Dutch manufacturer Pastoe in the 1960s. This rocking chair is often attributed online to the famous Danish designer Finn Juhl and is a fantastic example of Midcentury Modern design.
It features a sold wooden frame made from afromosia, a more expensive version of teak, and curved armrests and base allowing the chair to rock. The sprung back has been fully restored so the chair rocks as smoothly as the day it was manufactured. There are also two loose cushions newly upholstered in a light linen fabric.
Seat height: 47cm
