Joan Elliott Bates (born 1930) British. Impressionist landscape oil on canvas of cut cornfields. Bates studied at the Slade and has shown regularly at the RA Summer Exhibition and she exhibits widely, has won a number of awards and lives and works by the river in Marlow.
