A George Jones majolica 'Swallow and Calla Lily' jardinière. Polychrome enamel decorated and modelled with swallows among calla lilies against a light blue ground and mounted atop three foliate-decorated feet, and painted. Shape number 3567, some restoration.
Majolica produced by George Jones rivals that of Minton and Wedgwood in both design and workmanship.
