A 1908 Billiken figure possibly used as a match striker or good luck mascot. Billiken is known as 'The God of Things as They Ought to Be' and to buy a Billiken was said to give the purchaser luck. To receive one as a gift would be better luck. Fully hallmakred "U.S.P. Oct 6, 08 D.R.G.M." and "Made in Germany". Still retains its orginal finish and patina.
