Pair of early edition Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller DCW dining chairs. The DCW chair was initially released in 1946, with Herman Miller taking over the manufacture of the chairs in 1950-53 when they were removed from production until 1994. They can therefore be reliably dated to to the early Fifties period as identified by the 5-2-4 screw pattern on the base and the rounded feet.
Retains all original aluminium floor glides and oval shaped shock mounts. They are in excellent condition and have been recently repolished to bring out the patina of the walnut.
