Isokon Donkey Mk2 Bookshelf

An original 1960s Penguin Donkey Mark 2 designed by Ernest Race. This Midcentury Modern bookcase was inspired by the original Penguin Donkey, a visionary piece of furniture that is now in the permanent collection of the V&A and was designed to be the perfect size for storing Penguin paperback books. Structurally sound but with some small blemishes to the paint as should be expected after 60 odd years of use.
