After a career in property and finance, Rachel turned to her life-long passion for art and is now a full-time artist focussing principally on figurative, landscape and still life paintings. She paints in oils in the studio, working directly from life as well as using reference materials. She uses an abundance of colour to depict tone, shape and form with the aim of transforming emotions and feelings into material and visual expression. She challenges herself to find new ways to describe the familiar through the language of painting.
Rachel is Vice President of The Society of Women Artists and exhibits regularly with them at The Mall Galleries in London as well as participating in other major exhibitions. She trained at The Heatherley School of Fine Art in Chelsea where she graduated with a Diploma in Portraiture.
