Ernest Race DA1 1940s lounge chair with William Morris fabric. Designed in 1946 by Race who used a welded steel-rod frame to create an elegant and organic form, and combined it with traditional upholstery techniques for a sinuous and visually lightweight design.
This chair's lovely William Morris fabric upholstery is in remarkably good condition with some marks and wear.
The DA1's simple clean lines are timeless and it is not hard to see why these iconic pieces are so sought after today.
