The Dynasphere, 1932, silver gelatin resin print. The Dynasphere was a giant electrically driven wheel, capable of speeds of 20mph, which revolves while the driver stays stationary. The image shows it being tested on the beach at Weston Super Mare by Mr JA Purves of Taunton, who invented the machine with his son.
