Lovely Thirties ceramic lidded serving dish designed by Clarice Cliff for Shorter & Son of Staffordshire. Lots of gorgeous detailing on the hand painted service. The lid is covered in scales and the protruding green dorsal fin works well as the handle for the lid.
In good condition apart from a hairline crack on the lid, as shown.
