Crook Handled Malacca Antique Sword-Cane

A late nineteenth-century antique crook handled Malacca rush cane with a 'F CA ED' TOLEDO steel blade sword, etched with flowers and foliage, with the arms of Spain, overall length 92cm. Finely crafted, you couldn't tell the cane concealed a sword unless you twisted it.

Possibly a French sword-cane. It was common for sword-canes makers to bring blades from other countries to France

In 15th to 17th century Toledo steel swords were among the weapons most sought after as marked a warrior’s superiority.
